something to say Humboldt County etc.

Humboldt County was an awesome place for camping. It is full of Redwood Trees. Eureka is a town that's very quaint and has a nice easy going hippy lumberjack charm. The Indian gaming casino is very lovely due to its coolnes. I feel like swearing.

At La Mesa Watershed and SM Fairview Yesterday.

Yesterday, me, Carlo and Tito Wily went to the La Mesa Watershed, park and dam, and it was really impressive, the watershed and park was full and lush with the vegetation of verdant tropical trees and foliage, and there was a little pond with lily's. Replete with waterlily's. Then we walked up the long and tiring flight of concrete steps to view the dam. It was vast. The weather was hot and humid too. I felt like one of those contestants from Survivor.
Then we went to SM Fairview, and I bought two bottles of lambanog to bring back to the states and give a bottle too, to my friend Michelle. They were smaller bottles than what you can get from the stores or markets, but that's ok. I think I'll look for one of those too. Then we had halo halo at a small little kapangpangan  cafe restaurant. Then I bought a box of a dozen donuts from Dunkin Donuts. Damn, Dunkin Donuts are the best donuts in the world. They are so good. They're not damn good, they're hella good I thought I would say that. So I stopped by Filbar's at SM Fairview but not as impressive as the one in Megamall, Virra Mall or Robinson's Galleria. So we went back, and went back home, after we went to Ever, and I bought 1 toy figure of Elecktra from Marvel Comics and a miniature anime stand up figure of a an anime chick. That was my day, yesterday, nature, shopping, and some toy figures, and got a pedicure manicure too. That and the aircon of the malls and the humid heat of outside. A day in the life in Metro Manila for a dude like me.

In Mandaluyong. Dip Trip Flip Phantasia.

Hi fans, Garfield here. I'm here in Mandaluyong, Manila, with my uncle at his friends super duper high rise condo with his friends playing mahjong. It was raining cats and dogs earlier, and now it's nice and overcast. I see the other skyscraper buildings and condominiums from the balcony, and I see Megamall from the balcony too. It was raining hard, and in the other skyscraper, I could see a little cafe restuarant on one of the floors. Tito Wily's friends were Louie, Francis, both Filipinos from New York and this other guy wearing one of those caps and thick black plastic glasses. We went swimming in one of the rooftop swimming pools in the rain. I swam in my boxers, and when I came back to tito Francis' condo, Louie, while playing mahjong said, "You look like you peed in your pants".

That day, I also bought some old commonwealth and japanese era Filipino bills, from World Treasures in Megamall for 20 PHP each. I bought 240 PHP worth, which is a small collection. I also got a 1903 Commonwealth era  Filipino U.S. coin for 2,500 PHP. That and the 1945 5 centavos coins are my highlights in my little but perhaps expanding coin collection.

In Manila, with some skrilla.

Hi there, Garfield here, I've been in the Philippines since April 27th and so far, I have bought 5 Tamiya model kits of 1/100 scale airforce jets, one Ami-Comi figure of Star Saphire, some comics from Comic Odyssey at the Robinson's Galleria branch, a 1903 Philippine U.S. Commonwealth piso coin, 5 magazines of Lowrider, 2 magazines of World War 2, one black lingerie magazine of women in sexy lingerie, 3 more old Filipino coins and one old Filipino stamps set from SM Megamall. I spent time with tita Tiny and tita Jen, dang Nita, my relatives and I swam at the rooftop swimming pool at my dad's building in Taft Ave. I'm gonna look at my girls magazine and read my lowrider magazines and read my comic books. I may not have two turntables and a microphone but I'm a fat cat. Ciao!

Philippines Vacation 2011.

I'm leaving this Mon. for the Philippines. I want to get 3 model kits from the hobby store in SM Megamall, Lil's Hobby Shop, 1 or 2 Neon Genesis Evangelion toys and 5 anime keychains from Greenhills. I also want to get some books and comics and magazines, from Booksale, Filbar's and Comic Quest. I want to look for old Low Rider magazines from Booksale or any other cool magazines from Booksale. And that's it. My friend Ryan is there as we speak, so when we meet we're gonna be drankin' some lambanog! Maybe at the airport in San Francisco or SFO, I'll buy a Club or Hustler, or both! I'm also gonna bring my sketchpad and draw stuff in it. This year, I'm going to Sagada again, this time with my cousin and her lensmates. I'm gonna meet some friends and family like my auntie Tiny and her partner Jen. Last year, we wanted to meet up and eat at Alba's a Spanish restaurant and have some cucinillo, but we weren't able to do so because I didn't call my aunt to pick me up for it, this year I will do that the first day I arrive. Yeah, the Philippines is the best place to travel to. See ya sometime!

I'm going to the Philippines, to Manila this April. In the Philippines, I want to buy all sorts of cool stuff. I want to buy model kits, comic books, books, collectable card games, old Filipino coins, stamps and clothes. I want to eat at the good restaurants like Dad's, Max's Fried Chicken and Artistocrat. I want to go to Subic with my uncle and or my friend. I want to eat at Bodhi. I want to eat sinigang, adobo, fried chicken, boneless bangus. I want to enjoy my time in the Philippines.

My first Spring 2011 entry!

I keep changing and registering my political affiliation back and forth from democrat to a republican. I am liberal, and I also believe in the old, the old style, the old fashioned, maybe even the old way of doing things, and that is the appeal that republicans have on me. A friend of mine said, "Both parties are going to raise and lower taxes, so the question is, 'are you liberal, or are you conservative?'". I believe social security should be accesible to all who need it. The elderly and the disabled. Aside from that, I am more or less a conservative. A conservative liberal. A liberal, in the end, 'till I'm old and grey.

In other news, I will be flying to the Philippines this April 25th, I will be receiving the equivalent of 400$ USD, from my dad. I want to buy 3 model kits, 2 Gundam kits, 1 set of Filipino stamps, 2 old Filipino coins, 3 articles of clothing [or more] from Giordano or SM, 4 [or more] comic books, 5 [or more] packs of Marvel OverPower cards and that's it.

There are many or a lot of malls around Metro Manila. I want to go to SM Megamall, Robinson's Galleria, Greenhills shopping center, Glorietta, Greenbelt, and SM Mall of Asia. Not to mention Ever Gotesco, where I'll be doing some grocery shopping. I want to go to Giordano, Fiesta Islands store in Megamall, Comic Quest, Comic Odyssey, Lil's Hobby Shop, and Fully Booked, Power Books and Booksale, and some coin dealer's upstairs in Megmall. I want to buy some Filipino history and art books, and yes books from National Bookstore. I might go to either Boracay or Subic. Maybe Subic. Boracay for next year, 2012!

So, from  now until I save $100, I'm going to figure out what I want to buy with it until I saved up the money. I get 5$ a day allowance from my mom, and I thought I would like to buy a model of a german world war 2 tank, and a creature from the black lagoon model kit, or other commercial airplane models, or all of the above from the hobby store at the Basement of Ace, in Berkeley. I think I'm gonna get, if it's still there, a creature from the black lagoon model kit and a commercial airliner, if it's not there, a german tank and a commerical airliner. That, and I quit smoking for good. Here's to lots of money I will have saved from quitting smoking and health that is preserved. Cheerio!
